Pop Boba

Overview

If you’re in the mood for something a little different in Tracy, CA, make sure to check out Pop Boba at Starbread Bakery, located at 563 W Clover Rd. This unassuming spot brings a delightful twist to your typical bakery experience, offering a vibrant and refreshing addition to the menu that’s perfect for boba lovers.

Walking into Starbread Bakery, you’re greeted with the comforting scent of fresh-baked pastries, but what truly makes this place stand out is its Pop Boba drinks. For anyone unfamiliar with pop boba, it’s a twist on the classic bubble tea, where the chewy tapioca pearls are replaced with popping balls filled with flavorful juices. These little bursts of flavor make each sip an exciting experience, and Starbread Bakery has mastered the art of this unique treat.

One of the most popular items on the menu is the Pop Boba paired with a creamy milk tea. The texture of the popping pearls, combined with the smoothness of the milk tea, creates a satisfying contrast that’s hard to beat. If you prefer something a bit lighter, the fruit teas are a great choice as well. The mango and strawberry varieties are particularly refreshing, with the pop boba complementing the fruity flavors perfectly.

What really sets Starbread Bakery apart, though, is the commitment to quality ingredients. The drinks aren’t overly sweet, which is a nice change from some other boba spots that can be too syrup-heavy. You can taste the fresh flavors of the fruit or tea, without being overwhelmed by excessive sweetness. This attention to detail is one reason why regulars keep coming back for more.

The bakery itself is cozy, and the friendly staff makes you feel right at home. The combination of great service and delicious treats creates an experience that’s more than just about the food - it’s about enjoying your time in a comfortable space where the flavors are as satisfying as the atmosphere. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pick-me-up or staying for a relaxing moment, the atmosphere at Starbread Bakery adds to the charm.

Starbread Bakery also serves a variety of other delicious offerings. From savory Filipino pastries to freshly baked breads, there’s something for everyone. If you’ve never tried their classic pandesal or cinnamon rolls, you're missing out. But for those who come specifically for the Pop Boba, you won’t be disappointed. The drink itself becomes an adventure, with each bite of the popping boba offering a burst of flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

A visit to this bakery is more than just about grabbing a drink or pastry; it’s about embracing a unique part of the culinary world in Tracy. The blend of traditional baked goods with modern twists like Pop Boba makes it a great place to satisfy any craving. The menu offers a fun mix of options, and the friendly atmosphere ensures that you’ll leave satisfied, no matter what you choose.

They really should post their menu online. Here are the highlights for me, Mango star jelly. Calamansi juice. Lots of alternative milk options. There's so much to choose from its intimidating. I love it if they did a monthly ranking to see what's most popular. That could be fun! Hopefully they'll be able to get their own building with tables and chairs one day. Oh and make sure to cut the sweetness if you're someone that prefers milder sugar. They do not mess around with their syrups.

I love this place! Started coming about three weeks ago and I'm slowly making my way through the menu. The staff is super helpful with their recommendations and explanations of menu items, the drinks are pretty creative and only a few of the items even have actual dairy which is great because I'm lactose intolerant and I love boba Pop is to the right and Starbread is to the left, they're both owned by the same family and the prices for both are pretty reasonable :) Pictured are 5/6 macarons and #2 and #39 with boba, a custom drink I came up with made with: strawberry milk tea, crushed Oreo pieces, and boba. I can't remember what the solo bright orange drink is (just that it was very fruity and good, but kind of intense for me), and finally there's #25. The two menus are both inside of Pop currently, too!

Loved their macaroons. Cute spot that is co-located with Starbread Bakery. When you walk in, the right side belongs to them.

The parking lot doesn't have lots of parking spaces, because it shares spaces with other high volume businesses, but just park where you can. I keep coming for their strawberry jelly hearts in all my drinks is a must. Pops offers various drinks, its boba but with a twist. If you love sweet and chocolate try their Hot coco macaroons they are the bomb. Small but full of flavor and so good.

Great, fast service. Large menu of choices to choose from for drinks. Snacks available to order and a bakery within the same building for other desserts. I got the fruity cereal drink and it is AMAZING! Tastes just like fruity pebbles mixed with milk

Excellent fruit tea! I ordered a drink with calamansi juice, black tea, and fruit flavors. The lightly sweetened option was perfect to let the sour flavors through without overwhelming the drink, making it refreshing with the perfect balance of sweetness. I added a lychee jelly for a nice burst of sweetness. Total price was $7, average for a large tea drink. The flavors are so impressive that I recommend this business to anyone who wants milk tea or fruit tea.
